About Cashmere

Cashmere is the wool sourced from the goats in Kashmir region called Changthang. The wool is sourced by gently combing the wool off the Changthang goats. This is the ethical way of sourcing as the goats are not harmed. The collected wool is then blended in a thread and then the various products are made with this thread. Shawls, stoles, jackets etc are spun through hand or machine to make these products.

Care for cashmere

A few tips on how to care for your Cashmere -

  • Hand-washing is better than dry-cleaning or machine wash.
  • Wash gently with warm water and gentle soap.
  • Do not twist or wring to get the water out, Gentle squeeze please.
  • Heat will shrink the cashmere, so air -drying is a must
  • Use a moderately warm iron with a cover sheet.
